S. Himmelstein and Company has been designing and manufacturing the world’s best torque measurement transducers and instrumentation since 1960. Their products offer significant advantages over competitive models, enhancing their overall performance under real world conditions, not just in the calibration stand.
Himmelstein Spline drive models have spline and flange configurations consistent with AND 10262 and AND 20002. Also available are pulley sensors and torque wheels for road load driving torques and/or coastdown testing. Horsepower/kW-h meters have optional energy calculation/output.
MCRT® 48550V & 48551V torquemeters are spline drive models available in capacities from 50 lbf-in to 10,000 lbf-in with overload ratings of 2X full scale. When installed between a driver and load, the sensor will measure static and dynamic shaft torque and speed (optional). Robust, ferrite free rotary transformers connect the gages to noise immune carrier amplifiers.
These torque transducers will mate with and support test items meeting the specified spline standards. Spline and flange configuration are per AND 10262 and AND 20002 specifications.
Himmelstein's unique Option G technology that hardens the torque transducer to EMI generated by IGBT based adjustable speed drives is incorporated as a standard feature on these models.
Standard torquemeters operate from stall to 15,000 rpm, higher speed versions can be supplied on special order - please consult the factory.
Integral signal conditioning provides dual ±5 volt dc outputs proportional to torque. They will operate from a single power supply in the range of 10.5 to 24 volts dc.
